Implants and Restoration

Implants

Dental implants are a strong, effective way to replace missing teeth, which can have a huge impact on your overall oral health.

Dental implants consist of titanium that is implanted into your jawbone by a dentist or periodontist. Once the implant is in place, it provides an anchor for artificial teeth that feel and function like natural teeth.

If you have a missing tooth, dental implants are the right choice. Dental implants are strong and durable and have the potential to last many years. Just like your natural teeth, dental implants require diligent home care and routine dental visits to keep the implant healthy and stable.

A dental implant is oftentimes the best replacement for your own tooth. Implants feel the most natural and have the potential to last a lifetime with proper care and continued dental maintenance. Plus, implants can't get cavities!

An implant bridge can be used for patients missing multiple teeth. Implants are even an option for patients missing all of their teeth! If a patient needs a full mouth extraction or is missing all of their teeth already, implants allow a patient to have a snap-in appliance that fits tight to gum tissue and doesn't move around like a traditional denture. In addition, an implant hybrid restoration can be crafted that screws into dental implants in the mouth and never comes in and out. The restoration is able to look and function as close to natural teeth as possible.

Restorations

Tooth decay has been a common problem for years, but with the use of fluorides and an increase in patient awareness, it has become much more preventable. However, tooth decay can still occur and sometimes needs to be restored back to health. Thanks to improved techniques and modern technology, we can now offer more options for restoring a tooth back to its normal shape, appearance, and function.

Due to our highly processed diet in the US (including sugary foods and drinks) and the fact that many patients take multiple medications that cause dry mouth, the decay rate is extremely high. We customize each patients’ treatment plan to include additions of fluoride, a strict homecare regimen, and over the counter and/or prescription products to help minimize the risk of decay.

If your teeth ever need a restorative treatment, you can rest assured knowing we will always discuss with you the available options, and recommend what we believe to be the most comfortable and least invasive treatment. Providing you with excellent care is our number one priority when creating your beautiful smile.
